At last I found this boxset (guess which shop?? LOL!!) at the records rack, and its hidden behind other vinyls, cue “Discovery channel” moment.
It was released late last year, but this is the first time I set eyes on this boxset...

so I hold this heavy boxset in my hands,I began drooling and my saliva drops on the floor, I check the price, I think just for a while, do some mental calculations, and I bought it and inside the train, I was smiling to myself, and feeling nostalgic. This brings back so much memories.
There is a place for everything else, but RAINBOW??

- As a boy, KILL THE KING scares the shit out of me lyrically.. yet excites and thrill me.
- As a boy, i was looking a the Monsters Of Rock bootleg cassette of the first Donington Festival, and was looking at the logos of the bands taking part, and Rainbow’s name was right on top with the biggest fonts, while The Scorpions and Saxon and Riot and the rest was below,
and I was wondering what is Donington Park Monsters Of Rock is all about, how can there be so many rock bands playing live together, I cannot grasp it... and I also realised the status of Rainbow in the grand scheme of things.
... and That is why travelling to Donington Park is the most important thing to me in terms of Earthly Pleasures...
- As a boy, I love the Joe Lynn Turner’s era for the beautiful slow songs, which then I realised once I grew older are what love songs is all about. Broken hearts, rejected hearts, LOL!!
- As a boy, I learnt myself English by listening and writing down the lyrics of Temple Of The King. Most of the lyrics I got it wrong because what the fuck is "Year Of Fox", I keep looking at the calenders and there are Rats, Horses, Mouse, Tigers, but there is no fucking Fox!! Its confusing LOL!!
but thats how I teach myself English. The real rocking English that the teacher at school don’t teach.
- As a boy, I remember looking at the photo of the Rainbow Rising lineup and I was kind of guessing who is playing what instrument, and then at that moment, Cozy Powell became my first Idol. LOL!!!
Thanks to the internet age, I do occasionally visit RainbowFanClan website, as its sort of an authority in trying to list down the latest developments of the dozens of Rainbow’s alumni.
So this is like a full circle.. The first love, the magical years (which will continue as long as Maiden continues) and the modern era...
As a boy– Rithchie Blackmore’s – Snowman.
Then I discover and my life completely change... Iron Maiden and lo and behold they also have – Walking On Glass (Dave Murray & Adrian Smith solo instrumental)
Then as an adult I listen to more newer music – Nightwish – Walking In The Air.
Its not the same, but its still the same but its different yet similar...
Rainbow when I was young, and Rainbow now... still in my heart (memorise....) LOL!!!
